Juan Jose Martinez

Juan Jose Martinez, Sr., 86, was called to the presence of the Heavenly Father on July 1, 2024. He was born on May 6, 1938 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico. He worked for many years at the historic La Posada Hotel. He recently celebrated 49 years of marriage to the love of his life, Ana Maria Martinez. He will be forever remembered in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents: Jose Martinez and Maria Virginia Martinez; siblings: Ricardo Martinez, Jorge Martinez, Arturo Martinez, and Angelica Castro; daughter-in-law: Sara Alicia Rangel Martinez.

Surviving him are his spouse: Ana Maria Martinez; children: Ana Laura (Reynaldo) Holguin, Norma Isabel (Gabriel Perez) Martinez, Juan Jose (Rosa Elia) Martinez Jr., Carla Maria (Jose) Martinez Gonzalez; grandchildren: Brittany (Sergio) Quintana, Bridget N. Holguin, Reynaldo Holguin Jr., Megan Renee Perez, Erika Christal (El-Karim) Benkhedimallah, Jessica Lizzette Martinez, Mary Jane Muñoz, Jose Luis (Gloria Lorian Rodriguez) Muñoz, Fernando Muñoz, Dulce Maria Muñoz; great-grandchildren: Jose Daniel Quintana, Sabrina Beverly Quintana, Joaquin Samuel Muñoz, Katerina Kaylene Muñoz Rodriguez; siblings: Maria Virginia De Llano, Gloria Cruz, Rosalinda Campos, Sylvia Martinez, Guadalupe Treviño, Carlos Martinez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Condolences will be received on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 8 am until 12 noon at Hillside Funerals & Cremations. A Liturgy of the Word will be offered at 12 noon.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
