Mabel Estela Oliveira

Mabel Estela Oliveira Fowler, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 4, 2019, at 10:57 a.m. in Paxton, Illinois, where she resided for over 30 years.She was born in Laredo, Texas, on July 13, 1946, to loving parents, Tomas Oliveira Jr., and Mabel Estela Duncan Oliveira at Mercy Hospital. Mabel was educated and graduated from Holding Institute in Laredo, but after graduation she managed to take some occupational courses at Laredo Jr. College, with the help and encouragement from her mother. When her life’s journey carried her to Paxton, Illinois, where she settled, she worked in a Nursing Home to help the elderly, as her grandmother “Mamo” and mother had always done.  She enjoyed working with the elderly. Mabel never did forget her family, and her many Duncan Cousins, and especially her Aunt Ida Temple, who lives in Lufkin, Texas, and who she was always calling her to see how she was.  Duncan relatives were always very important to her. We will miss her calls, but we know she is now “Safely in Heaven”, with her mom and dad.She is survived by siblings, Carlos Tomas (Mary Alice) Oliveira, Rosemary (Gary) Essig, and Amadita (Louie) Guerra; nephews, Carlos T. (Julie) Oliveira Jr., Chris T. (Claudia) Oliveira, and Louie (Ethel) Guerra Jr,; niece, Celina Teresa Oliveira. She is also survived by 5 grandnephews.
