Maria De Los Angeles Cantu

Maria De Los Angeles Cantu "Tata," 86, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was born in Mexico on July 12, 1939 to the late Jesus Aguirre and Maria De Los Angeles Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Luis Cantu, father, Jesus Aguirre, mother, Maria De Los Angeles Rodriguez, son, Jose Fernando Cantu, & numerous siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Nancy Maria Cantu (Juan Enrique Lopez) & Cynthia Cantu, grandchildren: Kyara Cantu (Jose Angel Vedia), Roberto Cantu, Valentina Lopez, Galilea Lopez, Jesus Fernando Ortegon, Luis Omar Ortegon, & Aleida Perez, great-grandchildren: Aquiles Vedia, Athena Vedia, & Persephone Vedia, siblings: Elda Muñoz (+Sylvestre), Guadalupe De Leon (Maria), & Belia Cortez (Gilberto), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Hillside Funerals & Cremations from 5 pm to 9 pm, where a rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 7 am until 9 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 9:30 am.

Services will conclude at the church and a cremation will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Jose Angel Vedia, Jesus Fernando Cantu, Luis Omar Ortegon & Roberto Cantu.
