Maria del Socorro Gutierrez, 78, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Gutierrez is preceded in death by her parents: Jose Gilberto Madrigal and Maria del Socorro Ramirez; brother, Jose Gilberto Madrigal Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel Gutierrez Jr.; children, Sandra G. (Jose D.) Martinez, Edward (Luz Maria) Gutierrez, Elisa G. (Victor Hugo) Aguilar, and Jaime Gutierrez; siblings, Ursula (Luis+) Zuñiga Moody, Juan Manuel (Cynthia+) Madrigal, Maria Concepcion (Gonzalo) Gonzalez, and Ramon R. (Irma) Madrigal. Mrs. Gutierrez is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
