Maria Elena Medina, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in Laredo, Texas.Mrs. Medina is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Petra P. Castorena; siblings, Maria de la Luz (Francisco) Ortiz, Jose Conrado Castorena, and Lauro Castorena.She is survived by his loving husband of 55 years, Jose F. Medina; her children, Jose F. Medina Jr., Diana S. Medina, Linda (Greg) Boyett, and Jaime (Annette) Medina; siblings, Juanita (Jesus) Villarreal, Angelica (Miguel) Bustamante, Leonor (Sebastian) Limon, and Roberto (Barbara) Castorena; grandchildren, Jose F. Medina III, Anthony Boyett, Lauren Boyett, Robyn Boyett, Jaime Medina Jr., and Isabella Medina. Mrs. Medina is also survived by many other relatives and friends.A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.
