Maria Martina Herrera

Maria Martina Herrera, 88, was called by the Lord on November 18, 2019, in Laredo, Texas. Ms. Herrera is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ricardo Herrera; son, Jose Rolando Herrera; her parents, Cristobal Martinez and Soledad Ramirez; sisters, Julia Gutierrez, Consuelo Perez, Beatriz Gloria and Angela Herrera. She is survived by her children, Ricardo Herrera Jr., Irma (Dave) Cote, Daniel (Dora) Herrera, Raul Herrera, Raquel (Juan) Gamez, Ernesto Herrera, and Rosalinda (Judge Oscar) Liendo. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Ms. Herrera is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver, Angelita Herrera, for her care and support.  If you would like to sign the guestbook or send private condolences, you may do so at www.hillsidefuneral.com Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home, 310 Hillside Road.
