Maria Guadalupe Izaguirre

Maria Guadalupe Izaguirre passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Catarino Izaguirre; her mother, Escolastica Soto; and her brothers, Jose Angel Pastrano, Juan Jesus Pastrano, and Rafael Ramirez.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Maria Guadalupe Gaytan (Gerardo Jr.), Catarino Izaguirre Jr. (Thelma Gonzalez), and Sandra M. Cardenas (Sergio); her sisters-in-law, Maria Pastrano and Manuela Pastrano; and her cherished grandchildren, Gerardo Gaytan III, Jesus Gaytan, Briana Coleman (Ryan), Sofia Izaguirre, Isabel Izaguirre, Catarino Javier "CJ" Izaguirre, Jaqueline Vela, Alejandro Vela, and Sergio Cardenas Jr., along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Armando Arzagoitia of Iglesia Salmo 23.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for the Laredo City Cemetery, where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Izaguirre will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Catarino Izaguirre.

Serving as pallbearers will be Catarino Izaguirre Jr., Catarino Javier "CJ" Izaguirre, Gerardo Gaytan Jr., Gerardo Gaytan III, Jesus Gaytan, Sergio Cardenas, Alejandro Vela and Ryan Coleman.
