Maria E. Mendoza de Villa

Maria Elena Mendoza De Villa, 77, was called home to the heavenly father on June 9, 2025, in Laredo, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1947 in Mexico to the late Abelino & Maria Mendoza.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodolfo Villa Acosta; parents, Abelino & Maria Mendoza; brothers, Rafael Mendoza and Jesus Mendoza.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Diana Elena De La Cruz (Rudy), Araceli Escalante (Genaro), Gloria M. Vargas (David), Rodolfo Villa Jr. (Nancy), & Jesus Francisco Villa, grandchildren: Britney, Rudy Jr., Christian, Genaro Jr., Eduardo, Alexis, David Alejandro, Regina Coeli, Samuel, Samantha, & Santiago, great-granddaughter, Aria Jade, siblings: Lazara Mendoza, Ismael Mendoza, Guadalupe Mendoza, Martina Mendoza, Maria De La Luz Mendoza, Jose del Carmen Mendoza, Rosa Maria Mendoza, & Graciela Mendoza, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a rosary will be recited at 7 pm.

Funeral services will continue on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 7 am until 9:30 am at Hillside Funerals and Cremations. The funeral procession will depart to Divine Mercy Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am by Father Jerry Gutierrez.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

Pallbearers will be: Rodolfo Villa Jr., Jesus Francisco Villa, Samuel Villa, Genaro Escalante Jr., Rudy De la Cruz Jr., David Alejandro Vargas, Eduardo Escalante and Christian De La Cruz.
