Maria L. Pompa

Mrs. Maria L. Pompa, 91, entered into God's presence on June 17, 2024, in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by her loving family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Basilio and Dolores G. Lara; daughter: Nora Pompa; siblings: Jesus Lara, Roberto Lara, and Basilio Lara Jr.; father and mother in law: Juan and Narcisa Pompa.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 68 years of marriage: Mr. Santos G. Pompa; children: Jorge (Maria) Pompa, Javier (Lucy), Norma Pompa-Salinas, Nelda Pompa-Martinez, Joel (Norma) Pompa, and Noel (Ana) Pompa; grandchildren: 18; great-grandchildren: 29; great-great-grandchild: 1; siblings: Genoveva Morales and Arturo (Concepcion) Lara; sisters-in-law: Gloria Lara and Julia Lara, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

The funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 8:30 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to St. Frances "Mother Cabrini" Catholic Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
