Maria Trinidad Cantu

Maria Trinidad Cantu, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cesar Cantu Sr.; her daughter, Martha Imelda Cantu; her parents, Manuel Del Bosque and Petra Hinojosa; her grandson, Mario Ulysses Lopez and her great-great grandson Alejandro “Angelo” Garcia Salas; and her siblings, Valentina de la O, Evaristo Morales, and Andrea Ramos.

Maria leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always: her children, Diana Nydia (Roberto, Jr.) Tobias, Leticia (Mario, Jr.) Lopez, Cesar Cantu, Jr., Miriam (Steven) Bauer, Rosa (JJ Rodriguez) Cantu, and Veronica (Derly Rodriguez) Cantu. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jorge Alberto (Eunice) Salazar, Alex (Audrey) Garcia Salas, Ray (Jessica) Garcia Salas, Roberto (Jessica) Tobias III, Connie (Jesus) Martinez, Maritza Lopez, Carlos Lopez, Cesar (Cat) Cantu III, Victor Cantu, Michael Bauer, Isabelle Bauer Matthew Bauer, Alex (Hope) Bauer, Kristina (Kevin) Losey, Alberto Fuentes Jr., AJ Fuentes, and Karina (Oscar) Rodriguez; sister, Elsa Sifuentes and her dog Cookie.

She is further survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.

Funeral services will continue on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations beginning at 7:00 AM. A procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 AM to Divine Mercy Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
