Martin G. Gonzalez

Martin G. Gonzalez, 45, entered into God’s eternal rest on April 8, 2023, in Laredo, Texas. He was born on April 13, 1977, in Laredo, Texas to Teofilo and Juanita Gonzalez. Martin enjoyed family, friends, food and an all-around great life. Several of his passions were cooking out, enjoying time with family and friends, his all-time favorites, Football pots for all the major games, as well as his avid passion for Conjunto music at any occasion. He was an expert Crane operator having worked with several crane companies, ultimately ending at Orozco’s Crane, where he made many friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Antonio and Emilia Gonzalez; maternal grandparents: Guillermo and Aurelia Parra; brother in law: Victor Treviño Jr..

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of over 15 years of marriage: Sandra Gonzalez; children: Rodrigo G. Gonzalez, Odalis G. Gonzalez, Victoria G. Gonzalez, Martin G. Gonzalez; parents: Teofilo and Juanita Gonzalez; siblings: Alfredo (Teresa) Gonzalez, Isabel (Oscar) Liendo, Raquel Gonzalez, Maria Elena Gonzalez, Maricela (Ivan) Gonzalez, his favorite sister: Monica (Ernesto) Gonzalez; father and mother in law: Victor Sr. and San Juana Treviño; in-laws: Juanita (Mario) Ovalle, Simon (Eva) Treviño; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as a great number of co-workers at Orozco's Crane and Towing.

At the family's request and in celebration of Martin's life, if possible, please wear Carhartt clothing for the services.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., where a Prayer Service will be held in the chapel at 6 pm with Pastor Guadalupe Puente, Jr.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 15, 2023 departing the chapel at 9 am to Templo El Buen Pastor, 302 W. San Carlos, Laredo, TX 78041.

The procession will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery for the Interment.

Pallbearers will be: Jose Alfredo Gonzalez, Rodrigo Gonzalez, Ernesto Aello, Roberto Lucio, Roberto Lucio Jr., Xavier Arrellano, Simon Treviño, and John Miller.
