Ofilia C. Gonzalez, 92, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose S. “Tito” Gonzalez, her parents Isabel and Angela B. Castro;, siblings Minerva C. Lopez, Domingo Castro and uncle and aunt Simon and Isabel Briones. She is survived by her children J.L. Gonzalez, Luis (Laura E.) Gonzalez, Angela L. Gonzalez, Carlos (Lisa S.) Gonzalez and David H. (Patricia M.) Gonzalez; grandchildren Meagan A. (Johnathan) Lopez, Jorge (Katherine) Elizondo, Joseph Farias, Elizabeth A. Gonzalez, Joshua R. Humphrey, Michaela R. Gonzalez, Marissa A. Gonzalez, Rebecca E. Gonzalez; great-grandchildren Mia Elizondo and Santiago Elizondo, sisters Dolores C. (Jose Hector +) Morales, Clelia C. (Ariel) Barrera, brother Isabel (Dora) Castro and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral procession will be departing on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
