Ovidio Garza Ibarra passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his son, Octavio Garza; granddaughters, Daniela and Gabriela Bustamante; sister, Estela Carrillo; parents, Raul and Crisanta Garza. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Garza; his children, Norma (Arnulfo) Valdez, Ovidio (Noemi) Garza, Gloria Adriana (Rene) Reyes, Nora (Daniel) Bustamante, Robert (Veronica) Garza, Rogelio (Lizeth) Garza; grandchildren, Vanessa (Jose) Avila, Amanda Valdez (Michael Pallela), Tiffany Valdez, Cynthia (Enrique) Brizuela, Raul (Aida) Garza, Celina and Daniel Garza, Ashley and Karina Reyes, Albert, Karla, Aaron Bustamante, Robert Jr., Andruw, Alex Garza, Estrella, Danelli, Ariahni, Rogelio Jr., Octavio Garza. Mr. Garza is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
