Raquel O. Gonzalez

Raquel Gonzalez, born on June 25, 1930, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2025, at the age of 95.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Salome Ortiz Gutierrez and Paula Castellanos Martinez and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She is preceded in death by her siblings Amalia Ortiz de Chapa, Guillermo Ortiz Castellanos, Salvador Ortiz Castellanos, Amparo Ortiz de Gonzalez, and Nicolas Ortiz Castellanos. Remembering her with love are her surviving sisters, Maria Olga Mireles and Consuelo Ortiz de Ayala.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children: Eliamar Herrera (Oscar), Francisco “Frank” Gonzalez (Myriam), Nelly Gonzalez (Jose Lujan), and Michael Gonzalez. She is reunited in heaven with her son, Enrique Gonzalez (†) (Andrea).

She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends. To all who knew her, she will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she generously shared.

Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5 pm to 9 pm, where a rosary will be held at 7 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 7 am until the time of departure. Procession will depart the funeral home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church at a time currently pending.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest.

Raquel González, nacida el 25 de junio de 1930, partió a descansar en paz el 16 de agosto de 2025, a la edad de 95 años.

Fue la amada hija de los difuntos Salomé Ortiz Gutiérrez y Paula Castellanos Martínez, y creció rodeada de una familia grande y amorosa. Le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos Amalia Ortiz de Chapa, Guillermo Ortiz Castellanos, Salvador Ortiz Castellanos, Amparo Ortiz de González y Nicolás Ortiz Castellanos. Con cariño la recuerdan sus hermanas sobrevivientes, María Olga Mireles y Consuelo Ortiz de Ayala.

Su legado perdura en el amor y recuerdo de sus hijos: Eliamar Herrera (Oscar), Francisco “Frank” González (Myriam), Nelly González (José Luján) y Michael González. En la eternidad se reúne nuevamente con su hijo entrañable, Enrique González (†) (Andrea).

También deja numerosos nietos y bisnietos, que fueron una gran alegría en su vida, así como sobrinos, sobrinas, otros familiares y muchos amigos. Para todos los que la conocieron, será recordada por su calidez, fortaleza y el amor que siempre compartió generosamente.

Su legado vive en la familia que formó y en las incontables vidas que tocó.
