Mr. Raymundo Samuel Martinez Sr., 80, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on January 17, 2023. Raymundo was born in Laredo, Texas on September 19, 1942, to Mariano and Leocadia Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his spouse: Evangelina Martinez; sisters: Ciria Lydia Vallejo Martinez, Irma Leonor Salinas Martinez (Juan Salinas), Leonor Hilda Martinez.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his children: Veronica A. Martinez (Christopher Jacobo), Reymundo Samuel Martinez Jr.; grandchildren: Christopher Jacobo II, Viridiana Jacobo; brother: Reynaldo Martinez (Estela), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in the funeral home chapel.
Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will: Reymundo S Martinez Jr., Enrique de la Rosa, Adrian de la Rosa, Abel Martinez, Roel Salinas, and Peter Andrade.
