Rebeca C. Peña

Rebeca C. Peña, 80, was called by the Lord to her eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alberto Peña; her father, Isidro Cipriano; and her mother, Felicitas Guajardo.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ana Rebeca (Mario) Quevedo, Claudia (Juan Luis) Avalos, Virginia (Arturo) Vaughn, Candelaria "Cande" (Gilberto) Berrones, and Alberto (Dominga) Peña Jr.; grandchildren, Gilbert Berrones III, Anthony Berrones, Keana E. Peña, Anahi Quevedo, Samantha Avalos, Alberto Javier "AJ" Peña, and Sabrina Avalos; great-grandchildren, Marisol Hawver and Sagelynn Hawver; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. A Liturgy Service will be held in the funeral home chapel from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for Calvary Catholic Cemetery, where a graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Peña will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Alberto Peña. Pallbearers will be: Gilberto Berrones, Juan Luis Avalos, Arturo Vaughn, Anthony Berrones, Gilbert Berrones III, & Alberto Peña Jr.
