Ricardo Martinez

God has called his faithful, humble, hardworking, and loving Ricardo Martinez to his everlasting home in heaven, at the age of 69. He was born in Laredo, Texas on May 13, 1956 to Joaquin Romero and Lucila Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his father: Joaquin Romero; brother: Jose Manuel Martinez.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 50 years of marriage, Diana Martinez; children: Ricardo (Diana) Martinez, Jr., Robert Joaquin (Elizabeth) Martinez, Ruby M. Martinez, Rodolfo Adan Martinez; grandchildren: Cassandra Raquel Martinez, Carolina Rubi Martinez, Carina Rebecca Martinez, Clarita Renee Martinez, Uriel Ortiz Martinez, Kimberly Marie (Marcos Rendon) Martinez, Kayla Michelle Martinez, Kaycie Marin Martinez, Robert Joaquin Martinez Jr., Rodolfo Adan Martinez Jr., Ryan Dianndre Haynes; mother: Lucila Martinez; siblings: Bertha, Lucy, Rosalinda, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. The time for mass and departure are currently pending.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
