Richard C. Garza

Richard C. Garza, 79, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He lived a full life to every extent, and was so easy to be a friend and enjoyed talking to everyone he met. He spent his working life as co-owner of Laredo Diesel with his late brothers, Raul and Edmundo Garza. After retirement he loved spending time with his beloved family and enjoyed watching sports and playing golf. He was a great man and was always there to give a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents, Edmundo Garza and Adelaida Treviño de Garza; siblings, Raul Garza, Edmundo Garza Jr., Martha Dovalina, and Ofelia Carranco, along with his great-grandson, Victor A. Treviño IV.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years Aurora Yolanda Garza; his beloved children, Judith (Victor) Treviño Jr. Ricardo E. Garza, Edna (Michael) Lopez; grandchildren, Victor III, Kimberly, Alejandro, Natalia, and Issac Treviño, Ryan and Evan Lopez, along with his great-granddaughter, Alaina Valdez. He is also survived by numerous family and friends who will greatly miss him.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. A formal procession will depart at 12:00 p.m. Chapel opens at 8:00 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
