Rosa Maria Casillas

Mrs. Rosa Maria Casillas, 89, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 23, 2025, at her residence in the presence of her beloved family by her side. Rosa Maria entered this world on September 29, 1935, in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Severo and Virginia Valadez de Casillas, one of the founding families of that town, of which, she was most proud.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Severo and Virginia Casillas; siblings: Reynaldo Casillas Valadez, Rosalba Casillas Valadez, Leonor Casillas Valadez, Olivia Ernestina Casillas Valadez, Maria Minerva Casillas Valadez, Abelardo Casillas Valadez, Severo Casillas Valadez, Cesar Enrique Casillas Valadez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter: Rosa Maria (Jeffrey Scott) Garner; grandchildren: Joseph Scott Garner, Larissa Virginia Garner, Amanda Marie Garner, Yessenia Nichole Garner, Jacqueline Victoria Garner; great-grandchildren: Emma Marie Garner, McKayla Skye Martinez, Ellie Lynn Garner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 3:30 pm to 7 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations; 310 W. Hillside Rd.; Laredo, TX 78041. A blessing will be held at 3 pm by

Rev. Salvador Pedroza and a Rosary to be offered at 3:30 pm

All services will conclude and a cremation will follow at a later date.
