Rudy A. Santos, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his devoted family.
A proud graduate of Martin High School, Rudy was known for his deep love of music, his passion for traveling, and, above all, his unwavering dedication to his family. His vibrant spirit, big heart, and unforgettable sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Josefina Arriaga Santos, father Antonio Santos Jr., sister Sandra Santos Salazar, and brother Marco Contreras.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sylvia L. Santos; daughter, Debra L. Santos; sons: Rudy (Lisa) Santos, Steven G. Santos, and Antonio Santos; granddaughters: Kirsten Santos & Cameron Santos; grandson, Cory Santos; brother, Eduardo Santos; sister, Melissa Santos Enriquez, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Rudy was a retiree after dedicating 25 years to the Import Export business. Rudy's legacy of love, strength, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased will be offered at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart the chapel on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 8:30 am to St. Francis "Mother" Cabrini Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 am.
All services will conclude at the church and a cremation will be held at a later date.
