Our good and gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has welcomed our beloved Samuel S. Martinez, whom he called to be in his heavenly kingdom on March 14, 2024, in Laredo, Texas, having been surrounded by his family by his side.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife: Minerva N. Martinez; parents: Jose and Maria Martinez.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters: Annabel (Mauricio) Mandujano, Annette (Santos) Diaz; brother: Cleofas (Celia) Martinez; grandchildren: Matthew (Silvia) Martinez, Santos Javier (Gabriela) Diaz, Kristina Analy (Juan) Diaz-Castillo, Joseph Diaz; great-grandchildren: Ryan Matthew Martinez, Luke Samuel Martinez, Isabella Leah Diaz, Emiliano Savier Diaz, April Castillo, and Evan Castillo, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will gather on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 pm.
Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 9:15 am to Iglesia Cristiana Misericordia for a funeral service to commence at 10 am.
Committal Service with Military Honors will be held immediately following the service at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran's Section.
Pallbearers will be: Guillermo Martinez, Saul Felix Martinez, Mauricio Mandujano, Santos Diaz, Matthew Martinez, Santos Javier Diaz, Juan Castillo, Joseph Diaz.
