Santiago M. Gutierrez

Santiago M. Gutierrez, 81, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends and fellow veterans. He also loved celebrating holidays and special occasions with his family.

Mr. Gutierrez is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ernestina S. Gutierrez; and loving parents, Eduardo and Olga Gutierrez.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rosalinda (Jose) Sanchez, and Santiago Gutierrez; grandchildren, Ian Tellez, Isabella Gutierrez, and Liana Gutierrez. Mr. Gutierrez is also survived by his siblings, Eduardo (Elma) Gutierrez, Olga (Steven) Gibert, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by Fort Sam Houston Honor Guard and American Legion Post 59 Honor Guard.
