Sylvia T. Cuellar

Sylvia T. Cuellar, 79, passed away peacefully in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born to Manuel and Armandina Tijerina, who preceded her in death, along with her beloved sister, Victoria Mendoza.

Sylvia dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession she carried out with compassion, strength, and unwavering kindness. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Teodoro Cuellar Jr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. She also leaves behind her cherished children: daughter, Rosela Laurel (Chris) and son, Teodoro Antonio Cuellar. Sylvia’s memory will continue to live on through her siblings, Juan Manuel Tijerina (+Francis), Eli Tijerina (Mildred), and Orlando Tijerina (Edna), as well as her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude following the visitation. A private cremation will take place at a later date.
