Victor Manuel Oliveros, Jr. joined our Lord in Eternal Paradise on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, as a long and courageous battle with a difficult illness.
Victor was a graduate of J.W. Nixon High School Class of 1985. He graduated from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and subsequently graduated from Mississippi College with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. Victor was a substance abuse counselor at LISD’s Jose Valdez High School where he loved, and was loved by, his students and co-workers. Victor was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and “bro” to many. He enjoyed family gatherings in San Ygnacio, listening to rock music, driving his sports cars, cooking, and watching movies with his grandson. His love and legacy will forever be instilled in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Victor, Sr. and Rosa Maria Uribe Oliveros; brothers Alberto (Erica) Oliveros, and Jorge Oliveros; wife Aliza Flores Oliveros; children Lexi Oliveros (Bevan) Gatefield, Trey Oliveros, and Nick Oliveros; grandchild Louis Gatefield; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
A rosary will be recited on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A viewing will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 9:45 A.M. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M.

Cremation will take place at a later date.
