Virginia V. Leal

Virginia V. Leal, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. She lived all of her life in Laredo. She married the love of her life Armando Leal Sr.in 1951 until his passing in 1999. Mrs. Leal was preceded in death by her adoring son Armando Leal Jr.; parents, Julian Vela Peña and Virginia Treviño de Vela; siblings, Dora (Rosendo) Rodriguez, Josefa (Jose Bruno) Abrego, Amador Vela, Berta Vela, Humberto Vela Jr., and Julian (Alma Hinojosa) Vela Jr.; in-laws, Pedro Leal and Felicitas B. Leal from the Pedro Leal Ranch in Bruni, Texas; sister-in-law Delia B. Leal and her only brother-in-law Servando Leal. She is survived by her adoring daughter Gloria Leal and her loving son Servando (Idalia) Leal; sister-in-laws, Elvira D. Vela and Ludivina H. Vela. Mrs. Leal is also survived by many nephews and nieces and many friends throughout her life. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. After visitation a mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Juventino Gonzalez Jr., Mark Heacox, Alejandro Vela Peña, Pete Leal, Juan Jose Zapata, Christopher Treviño. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Daniel Vela, Humberto Vela Jr. R.N., Julian Vela III, Dale Hart, Dain Hart, Roy Perez, Xavier Roberto Guerra, Enrique Rodríguez, Ernie Ramirez, and Eloy Sauceda.
