Virginia Lima, January 31, 1952 – June 26, 2026

Virginia Lima, 74, of Laredo, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026. Born on January 31, 1952, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Virginia made her home in Laredo, Texas, where she built a life centered on faith, family, compassion, and service to others.Virginia was a woman whose heart knew no limits. She found joy in giving, whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or offering prayers to those in need. She had an unwavering devotion to God, and her faith guided the way she lived each day. She believed in lifting others up during their most difficult moments and celebrating with them during life’s happiest occasions.She will be remembered for her incredible strength, resilience, selflessness, patience, and unwavering optimism. No matter the challenges she faced, Virginia remained hopeful and positive, inspiring everyone around her with her courage and grace. Her love and support for her family and friends were constant, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to live on in the many lives she touched. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Maximiliano Lima and Ma. Elena Garcia, and by her siblings, Blanca and Ruperto. She is lovingly survived by her son, Cesar Lima. (Stephanie Rodriguez) her cherished grandchildren, Serena Lima, Santiago Lima, and Arely Rodriguez; her siblings, Juan Carlos, Jorge, Jose Luis, Teresa, Rene Santiago, and Veronica; and her beloved nephews and nieces, Gala, Alberto Jr., Pedro, Randy, OJ, Exodus, Mateo, Tyrain, Tyan and Chanel, along with many extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by her kindness.

Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her faith has led her home. Virginia’s legacy of love, compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 5 to 9pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Rosary to be recited at 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 7 to 8:30am at Hillside Funerals and Cremations. We will be departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30am to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass at 9am.

A cremation will be held at a later date.

Pall bearers will be: Cesar Lima, Alberto Gonzalez, Jr., Pedro Gonzalez, Randy Wallace, OJ Cabrera, Mateo Cabrera, Tyan Wallace, Santiago Lima.

Services are under the care and direction of Hillside Funerals & Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Rd., Laredo, Texas 78041.
