Zulema G. Chavez

Mrs. Zulema G. Chavez was called to be with the Lord on July 16, 2025, at the age of 99.

Mrs. Chavez was born in Vallecillo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar J. Chavez.

Mrs. Chavez is survived by her loving children, Zulema (Armando) Olazabal, Oscar Juan (Graciela) Chavez Jr., Elsa (Arturo) Ramos and Gerardo (Diana) Chavez; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jorge Armando (Lorena) Joaquin, Mateo and Sofia Olazabal, Erika (Luis) Aranda, Elsa (Roy) Huron, Alexis Flores, Cody and Aria Huron, Arturo (Merrhyah) Ramos Jr., Arturo III, Alejandro, and Journey, Clarisa Grace (Paul) Miller, Ella Celine and Grace McKenzie Miller, Oscar Juan (Estefania) Chavez III, Natalie Grace Chavez, Melina (Nick) Hamm, and Gerardo Chavez Jr.

Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 9 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2025, with a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary to be offered at 7 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The procession will depart the funeral chapel at 9 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are: Jorge Olazabal, Arturo Ramos Jr., Oscar Chavez III, Gerardo Chavez Jr., Roy Huron, and Luis Aranda.
