Zulema D. Leal, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Frisco, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Zulema was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife whose greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. She especially treasured traveling with her sons, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love formed the foundation of a close-knit family that will forever carry her spirit.

She proudly served the State of Texas and retired from the Attorney General’s Office after many years of dedicated service. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Zulema found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, particularly tending to her home garden, where she nurtured both plants and peace of mind.

Zulema shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ramiro Leal Sr. Together, they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family, including their shared commitment to their bicycle shop. Their enduring partnership was a testament to devotion and mutual respect.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro Leal Sr.; her parents, Jose Z. Dominguez and Baudilia M. Dominguez; her sister, Bertha Moreno; and her brothers, Jose Dominguez Jr., Roberto Dominguez, Jesus Dominguez, Raul Dominguez, and Mario Dominguez.

Zulema is survived by her children: Ramiro Leal (Brian West), Jose Alberto Leal (Doreen Diaz), Humberto Leal, and Raul A. Leal (Maria Elena). She is also survived by her sister, Elva Dominguez; sisters-in-law, Teresa Dominguez, Yolanda Dominguez, Cindy Dominguez, Chayo and Helen; brother-in-law, Eduardo Moreno; and her beloved grandchildren: Jhoselle, Jose Alberto, Gloria Ariana, Madelene Zulme, Raul Alfonso Jr., Isabel Elisa, Ramiro Alejandro, and Anastasia Bibiana, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, beginning at 7:00 AM at Hillside Funerals and Cremations. A departure from the funeral home will follow at 8:30 AM for a 9:00 AM Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
